Meet my 2020 sunglasses collection

I’m so happy to be back for a new collection with Kenmark Eyewear and bringing more designs to life! It’s been a challenging year to work through and I’m so proud of the incredible team of women that have made it happen. Coming back for a second collection I feel that I’ve learned a lot and been able to really focus on what’s important to me in terms of style and longevity. I think there are glasses here that will suit everyone - very eager to see them out in the wild on all of your beautiful faces. Available to purchase from August 7th while stocks last.

#gemmaxkenmark is available exclusively at baxterandbonny.com

GOOD

Goodbye Stranger

I don’t often wear wire frame sunglasses for one important reason - the horror of getting them tangled in your hair. It was something I talked about right from the beginning in designing this style and I am thrilled to say that Goodbye Stranger will slide on and off my head with no strand left behind! Game changer. They’re big but light and so comfortable on the face - I’m in love with this shape.

Take It Easy

A perfect every day style, they have a chunky enough shape to make a statement but don’t overpower. Classic Carbon black is a must and Honey are a lovely warm, light option which flatters a wide range of skin tones. Ocelot have an extra something with the contrasting green arms - named Ocelot because the colour combination made me think of a jungle cat peering around some foliage.

Seven Wonders

Seven Wonders became my most worn pair from the last collection. Cat eye sunglasses that are actually easy to wear. As one of the most popular styles I couldn’t bear to say goodbye to them so we’ve brought them back in new colours for 2020 - Willow, a fresh, vibrant green and Chestnut, a rich, warm brown for a softer alternative to the original black.

Don’t Stop

“Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow, don’t stop, it’ll soon be here.” 10% of proceeds from the Find The Light special edition pair will be donated to mental health research, a cause which is close to my heart. As much as we need intervention and support for people with mental health issues, we also need to understand why these issues happen in order to treat them most effectively and eventually prevent them. Oversized sunglasses are an absolute staple, the proportions of these work really nicely and I love the colours. Caramel is such a lovely warm neutral and the dark tortoiseshell is perfect for all year round.

The Young Ones

The inspiration for this shape was a picture of my grandmother in the early 1970s - it’s been really nice for me to have her in mind when making them. The original reference were tortoiseshell and this style also comes in black (Carbon) and Watermelon, which is such an evocative summer colour. I always enjoy a winged frame, these are a great option if you want that look without going for a full cat eye. My nan was a big Cliff Richard fan so I hope she’d love the name of them too!
