Doing Good: For you, for others and for the planet
AD - This post is part of a paid partnership
I’m happy to announce a new project I’ve been working on for such a long time! I’m collaborating with Feel Unique on an eco-friendly edit called Doing Good. The collection of eleven products have all been selected by yours truly and contains some of my absolute favourite items, including a candle, room and pillow spray and reusable make up remover. And plenty more! (Feel a bit like I’m reading out prizes on a game show, but hey, I’m going with it. Excitement!) All the products are cruelty free and intended to fit seamlessly into your life, introducing some more sustainable options to routine products, such as hand sanitiser — something we’re all using more of now, embracing a more eco-friendly version was something I personally felt much better about. I’ve really loved working on this project, testing out products and getting stuck into the bag design itself, using bleach-free, recyclable and compostable paper, plus a water-based vegan leather alternative that uses up to 95% less energy and water, also eliminating the use of a highly toxic chemical that harms both the environment and the people who make it.
I really hope you’re into this project and the products — I think it would make a great gift for that person in your life who you know is sustainability conscious and therefore you never know what to buy them!
As you no doubt already know, mental health and looking after it is something I’ve talked about publicly a lot, and I was highly conscious of that during the development of this collection. Self care as a concept has been somewhat hijacked in recent years - of course the products in this collection could be used as part of your self care routine, but as we know, it’s about so much more than that! I wanted to make sure that this edit would truly have a positive impact. Looking after yourself and being mindful of your needs is essential. It’s also been shown that practising kindness has a positive effect on your mental health, reducing anxiety and stress, and it can even improve your physical health over time too. With this edit I wanted to showcase some brands who are doing great things in pursuit of sustainability, while creating a product that is enjoyable and contains products that are actually useful!
The collection includes:
Doing Good beauty Bag Exclusive to this project!

Evolve Beauty Miracle Mask Vegan, cruelty-free and made in the UK with 99% natural ingredients
E.L.F. Mask and Pore Refining Brush Vegan and cruelty-free; I love a mask brush as I find you waste less product - it’s also more hygienic than sticking your fingers in a jar!

This Works Sleep Together Calming Spray One of my absolute favourite products, this spray can be used not only on your pillow but as a room spray before bedtime. Safe for use around pets and children over 6 months old - a calming influence for the whole house!
Neom 1 Wick Candle Natural wax and fragrance, hand poured and packaged in the UK for a reduced carbon footprint. Glass jar can be washed out after use and used as a plant pot or storage vessel! Once you’re done, both the glass and the outer packaging are 100% recyclable. Please note: contains beeswax
Ethique Rustic Deodorant Plastic-free natural deodorant containing moisturising and sweat absorbing ingredients. Cruelty-free, vegan, palm oil free and in compostable packaging!
One of the most important elements to this project for me is that with each sale of the Doing Good product, you’ll be making a donation to MQ Mental Health. MQ is a charity I’ve been proud to support for some time and am now an ambassador for, too! They fund research into mental health conditions and treatments; mental health research is chronically underfunded and so important for the future of our mental health as a society. While treatments and therapies are so so important, a better understanding of why and how mental illnesses occur would give us far better options to improve the lives of millions of people, and perhaps even prevent people’s suffering in the first place. What a thing to aim for.
I’m so happy that I’m in a position to work on projects like this which combine multiple passions of mine, and get to help raise money for this important cause in the process - thank you so much for your support.
I would never want you to feel like you have to buy something in order to do something good - if you don’t need any new products right now but would like to donate directly to MQ Mental Health then you can do so here. If you aren’t able to contribute financially then you might be able to help the charity by participating in one of their research studies or doing some fundraising of your own. If you would like to purchase the Doing Good edit then thank you very much indeed and I really hope you enjoy it - I’d love to hear what you think!
